Read GRTS as a coherent system: understand the fibres and products concerned, how certification works, the applicable requirements, expected evidence and the responsibilities of the different actors in the textile value chain.
GRTS extends the system developed for GOTS to a broader range of fibres certified to production standards recognised by GRTS. The training explains this new standard and how to translate its requirements into the company’s activities.
Why two formats?
1 day to gain a structured understanding of the standard. 2 days, recommended for functions responsible for preparing, implementing or managing certification.
Understand a new standard applicable to textile products
The Global Responsible Textile Standard covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trading and distribution of textiles made from fibres certified to production standards recognised by GRTS. It builds on the certification system developed by Global Standard and shares many requirements with GOTS.
The training clearly distinguishes material eligibility, requirements applicable to organisations and products, and the documents required to demonstrate conformity.

Who is this training for?
Intended audience
Directors and managers in certification, quality, CSR / sustainability, purchasing and sourcing, production, supply chain, product, compliance, sales or communication, as well as anyone involved in implementing or monitoring the standard or standards.
Prerequisites
No specific prerequisite for the one-day trajectory. For the two-day trajectory, general knowledge of the textile value chain and the company’s activities will support the practical exercises.

The training combines structured input, guided reading of applicable documents, examples from textile value chains, discussion and exercises. The two-day trajectory includes in-depth document analysis and a case study.

Examples may be adapted to the company’s materials, products, activities and challenges. Any significant adaptation of the programme or creation of specific content is subject to an additional quotation.

Before the training
An initial questionnaire identifies participants’ starting level, activities and situations encountered.
During the training
Understanding is checked progressively through questions, analyses and practical scenarios.
At the end
A learning-outcomes assessment and satisfaction survey are completed. Each participant receives a certificate of completion.
