This page explains the cookies and other trackers that may be used on the Loometic website, their purposes and the rules governing their use.
What is a cookie or tracker?
A cookie is a small file that may be stored on your device when you visit a website. Other technologies may also read or write information on a device; here they are collectively referred to as “trackers”.
Depending on their purpose, certain trackers may be used without prior consent where they are strictly necessary for the requested service to operate. Other trackers may be placed or read only after valid consent has been obtained.
Which trackers are planned for Loometic?
V1 of the website is designed according to a tracker-minimisation principle. At this stage, LOOMETIC does not plan to use advertising or marketing-profiling trackers.

Audience measurement
LOOMETIC intends to obtain traffic statistics from V1 onwards. The solution will be selected and configured to restrict collection to what is strictly necessary and, where the regulatory conditions are genuinely met, to qualify for the consent exemption applicable to certain audience measurement trackers.
To qualify for this exemption, measurement must remain limited to the website’s audience on LOOMETIC’s exclusive behalf, must not enable an individual to be tracked across different websites or applications, must be used solely to produce anonymous statistical data, and must not result in the data being combined with other processing or transferred to third parties for their own purposes.
For audience measurement trackers qualifying for the exemption, the CNIL recommends a lifespan that enables meaningful audience comparison — for example, thirteen months without automatic extension on each visit — and retention of the information collected for no more than twenty-five months. LOOMETIC will set periods limited to what is strictly necessary during final configuration.
When is your consent required?
If LOOMETIC later implements trackers that are not strictly necessary and do not qualify for an exemption, they will not be placed or read before you have given consent.
Where consent is required, accepting and refusing must be equally straightforward, and you must be able to withdraw consent at any time as easily as you gave it. Simply continuing to browse does not constitute consent.
In that case, LOOMETIC will implement a preference-management interface suited to the trackers actually used.
Will a cookie banner be displayed?
Not necessarily. If V1 uses only strictly necessary trackers and audience measurement that genuinely meets the exemption conditions, LOOMETIC will favour transparent information in this policy instead of an unnecessary consent request.
If a tracker requiring consent is added, or if the selected audience measurement solution does not meet the exemption conditions, a consent mechanism will be implemented before it is activated.
How can you manage your choices?
Where trackers subject to consent are used, permanent access to the settings will allow you to amend or withdraw your choices.
You may also configure your browser to control certain cookies. However, these settings do not replace the consent mechanisms that LOOMETIC must implement where required by law.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when the technologies actually used on the website change, particularly if the audience measurement tool changes, a third-party feature is added or the regulatory framework evolves.
