One day to acquire essential foundations, not to claim mastery of two demanding standards. This training gives professionals who encounter GOTS and GRS in their work a structured understanding of both, without assuming sole responsibility for their implementation.
Understand two standards to navigate them more effectively
GOTS and GRS are frequently encountered in textile value chains, but they do not address the same materials or exactly the same objectives. Understanding them together makes it easier to interpret customer and supplier requests, certification documents, claims and the responsibilities of different actors.
This course is designed as a fundamentals trajectory. It provides a shared, operational understanding of both systems; it does not replace dedicated training for an in-depth study of GOTS or GRS.

Intended audience
Professionals who regularly work with references to GOTS and GRS without primary responsibility for managing certification: purchasing and sourcing, product / collection, quality, CSR / sustainability, supply chain, sales, marketing and communication, and relevant support functions.
It is particularly suitable for teams seeking a common language and sound reflexes before engaging with internal specialists, suppliers, customers or certification bodies.
Prerequisites
No specific prerequisites. General knowledge of one’s activities and the textile value chain helps put the examples into perspective.

The training combines structured input, comparative review, textile-sector examples, discussions with participants and short exercises. The aim is to build solid, immediately applicable foundations rather than cover two standards exhaustively.

Before the training
An initial questionnaire identifies participants’ starting level, their exposure to GOTS and GRS and the situations they encounter in their work.
During the training
Understanding is checked progressively through discussion, questions, comparisons and practical scenarios.
At the end
A learning-outcomes assessment verifies achievement of the teaching objectives. It is complemented by a satisfaction survey. Each participant receives a certificate of completion.
